Two significant challenges faced by changing the function of the building was it did not have HVAC system or sound control. The high noise levels, high/low temperatures, and humidity would have been unacceptable for cruise passengers. A decision was made to have 1.5 inches of K-13 white applied to the ceiling. The project was able to be completed ahead of schedule because of the ease and speed of installing K-13. K-13 provided the necessary noise control and at the same time provided thermal integrity to the un-insulated metal deck.
For new construction or renovation projects, ICC’s family of spray applied products offer the ideal ceiling treatment for all of your thermal and acoustical needs. For additional information, contact us at (800) 444-1252 or visit our website at www.spray-on.com. |
